I’m going to Europe in April for a solo adventure (starting in the UK and heading east). Would people suggest Prague or Budapest for 7-9 days? I’ve done a bunch of research but having a hard time narrowing down my interests ?

I spent 4 days in Prague and 4 days in Budapest and they were enough for both cities. But I wouldn't be able to choose one of them to recommend, both were charming in some different way :)
Can you just do both in 7 to 9 days?
Possibly I can do both!  I’m also considering train or bus somewhere closer and book another trip to Budapest!
Doing both is the best idea ;) they are both, let's say, "old fashioned" but both offer totaly different views, experiences and memories!
Out of the two I prefer Budapest. Feels less crowded, has an incredible food and upcoming beer scene, great wine and the ruin pubs are a blast. Oh did I mention the cafe culture? Basically along with Vienna is the ground central for extravagant desserts in beautiful architectured cafes serving top notch coffee.
You can definitely do both of these cities in 7-9 days ... and even stop off in Bratislava for a few hours on your way. If you want to stay in one, though, I’d say that 7-9 days is a lot of time for Prague, unless you do some day trips. There are a ton of options for quick 1-2 day trips outside of…
