Hello Julia global village is not worth for a short period traveller. It is for the mass public and like a normal fair in Europe. You need at least half a day for that rather you can utilize it for seeing other things in DUBAI.
Heaps to do in Dubai - sunset desert ride on horseback, paddle boarding around the burj al Arab, head out to Fujairah to go snorkeling or scuba diving, RAK if you are into hiking etc
