Katie Scott Aiton's question in Singapore

Food / Nightlife

My sister and brother are doing a quick four day trip to Singapore next week. My sister is a chef and neither of them mess around when it comes to food or drink. We come from a hospitality background so can appricate top notch but also a hole in the wall. Where should they eat? We're looking for local places, we have a solid list of venues. Also if you have to pick a few places to see and things to do, what they be? They are similar travelers to me, want to see the sights but don't feel obligiged to follow a guide book. Thanks in advance. Kate
