Clement Chow's question in United Kingdom

Stay

Should I purchase Gatwick Express tickets from Gatwick Airport to London Victoria station? Is it the cheapest and fastest mode of transport for this route? I'll stay in Kensington, near Holland Park.

You have cheaper options (National Express, EasyBus, etc...) but they will take it longer.
I suggest you get a Thameslink train. They stop at various central London train stations like London Bridge, Kings X etc. Often half the price of the Express & not much difference in time. You can buy advance tickets online & pick them up at a machine in Gatwick station.
Yeah Dean has a point it will be cheaper and it will only take an hour. If you want straight foward transport without many changes then go to Victoria and you can either take a bus from there or tube. But this option is quite good.
The National Rail is just as fast than the Express but depending on the times, you might find a slightly cheaper fare. EasyBus is much cheaper (less than 10£ round trip i think), but it's on wheels (traffic!) and takes about 1 hour. Check National Express too. I would pay a bit more but avoid…
Thank you all for the advice. I'll look into the options.
