Arboretum Sofiyivka
Soyiyivka Park in Uman is without doubt one of the gem stones of Ukraine. It's located halfway between The Black Sea coast and the capital Kïev making it a great stopping off point either way. Like with Alexandria Park in Bila Tserkva, it has strong ties to Polish nobility and was named after Sofia, the wife of a count from Poland who founded it. The park went under various stages of development over its lifetime. Principally the park is designed to reflect Greek and Roman mythology. The river in its grounds is even named after that of a river in the underworld in ancient Greece. Acheron applies to this very river, and the same name given to a river in the north of Greece. Besides this key feature of the park you can revel in the myriad of fountains, waterfalls and footbridges that the park projects to visitors ever so stylishly. #waterfalls #history #statue
