Certainly one of the older effigies of Brno dating back to the mid 17th century in Baroque style. Hence Parnas Fountain has undergone various changes and even been a victim of vandalism over the centuries. Based around the cave of three entrances marks figures signifying the three empires of Babylon, Persia and Greece. On top another statue marking the more recent Holy Roman Empire. The market square on which Parnas Fountain is located, is also quite impressive. The back drop of The Grandezza Hotel give opulence and splendor to this part of the city. #free #history #art
