We stayed in the Boutique Hotel Tanzberg which not only had aspects of 5 star hotel comforts apparent in the mattresses but a superb restaurant. Boutique Hotel Tanzburg does the word boutique justice with personal touches before you step through the door. The outside wall is caked in virginia creeper and there are some cute potted plants around the entrance. The restaurant has a very good reputation in town with outside visitors often dining there. As for the level of comfort and cleanliness, it was perfect. Breakfast was impressive with cooked options and sparkling wine thrown into the equation. The only gripe I had with this hotel was the early check out time of 10am. This seems to be a common occurrence among some three and four star hotels throughout the Czech Republic. The hotel is flanked by the impressive Mikulov Castle and adjacent a pretty whitewashed synagogue. Delightful cafes, and wine bars, are a stones throw away from the hotel.
