Karang
This is a buzzing market straddling the Gambian border. Close by you can dive into one of their national dishes thieboudienne or chebu jën in Wolof which translates as fish with rice. As simple as it sounds the ingredients are unique to Senegal. This dish is symbol of the country's rich source of fish and hence can be found in all coastal areas to a large degree. This meal was on a roadside marquee on the Senegalese border with The Gambia. I paid one dollar for this, which was a steal, and without doubt my cheapest meal of the century. It came with some boiled carrot and cabbage doused in peanut oil and pepper - scrumptious stuff! #photography #clothes #gifts #bargains
