The Public Theater
The Public Theater is a beloved NYC institution founded by the legendary director Joseph Papp, its first production was the world premiere of the eventual Broadway hit “Hair” and they’ve been going strong ever since. You can take in some music, dance or cabaret in Joe’s Pub or a theatrical performance at one of their five other stages. The popular annual “Under the Radar Festival” brings in works from around the globe and is considered a highlight of the theater season.
