With so much fresh local produce and meats it makes total sense that this small town has a fantastic food co-op grocery store. The shelves are filled with organic goods and their new vamped deli is a foodies dream. There are take out sandwiches, packaged freshly made food of any and every kind or there is a fresh buffet. This is not your typical buffet, trust me! I filled my plate with local organic veggies, leafy greens topped with the house made mango vinaigrette, and roasted local carnitas with spiced black beans. Each ingredient listed with care to insure every possible allergy is accounted for. Once my plate was overflowing I found a window seat and dove in. Eating, I looked out at this culturally deep town and thought, dang! I haven’t had carnitas like this since the Baja! Well done Oneoata!! #decorah #groceries #goodeats
