Mutrah Corniche
Mutrah is a reminder of Oman’s trading past before the oil industry really took off. The waterfront is lined with 19th century tradesmen’s houses and three different markets; the gold souq, the souq and the fish market. Against the traditional vibes there are also new, modern additions like the Sultan’s luxury cruise ships looming over the harbour and the attractive sheltered seating that feels more like a temple than a place to rest your feet. It feels like a completely different way of life to the main city. #free #architecture #tradingpost #corniche #sea #coastal #muscat
