Muscat Gate
Yet another piece of history in the city! Muscat gate was an important part of city life in old Muscat as it used to be shut off after sunset to stop movement in and out of the city. It’s amazing how well preserved a lot of the historical buildings are in Muscat, you’d think they had been rebuilt! It has actually been renovated in the last 15 years and now has a museum inside that you can visit for a respectable 1 OMR (500 baisa for children) or you could walk around and take in the sights for free! #free #museum #oman #history #architecture
