I'm not going to lie, I didn't climb Everest, but just to see it up close was a magnificent and imposing sight to behold. One of the highlights on my amaging adventure through China, Tibet, Nepal & India. The Tibetan Base Camp behind me is off limits unless you have climbing permits thanks to China's oppressive stronghold over Tibet. i stayed overnight in the Tent City close by in tents which are heated with dung stoves. Even in summer it's freezing cold here and at an elevation of 5200m the air is pretty thin. #camping #snow #extreme #hiking
