These temples are so cool. Built into the stone wall you get to wander and climb through narrow stone passageways to get to several different Buddhist shrines. Along the main route of the Silk Road these temples are OLD. The Silk Road not only brought Silk but also Buddhism to china from India and these temples are some of the earliest examples of that.
