Oxford Punting
Punting is the summer pastime of Oxonians. Navigate the waterways in punts or take to a pedalo if grappling a long metal four metre pole is not your idea of fun. Alternatively you can take a rowing boat or simply just spoil yourself with a chauffeur and picnic hamper. The boats take to the River Cherwell which runs in a southerly direction before draining into the well known River Thames, south of the city.
Should you be with with a loved one and the day is fine, there is nothing quite so fitting. Use the pole as a rudder and while away the afternoon with birdsong and wine!
