The statue of Musa Jalil represents his life as a freedom fighter and Tartarian poet during the Soviet Union. He appears wrapped in barbed wire as a symbol of the regime he lived through. Seeing his statue made me want to learn more of his life and role he played during the world wars and in turn a slice of his poetry. #statue #free #photography #art
