Taberna Filha Da Mãe Preta
Taberna filha da Mãe Preta has had mixed reviews over the years and yet all I can vouch for was an overall good experience. Besides the convenient location overlooking the port it's also a fantastic spot for people watching if sitting outside. Food came within 20 minutes and was value for money. Portions were generous in size. A prawn salad, serving of finger licking, sardines, french fries, 75 cl litre bottle of fruity, Portuguese Mateus Rose and a 250 ml measure of sangría came to 32 euros. One aspect I felt lacked however was the standard of outside seating. Tables wobbled but the distance between others were substantially apart from one another that you could shift between them with ease. The bolt tablecloths evoked thoughts of a sleezy, Blackpool amusement arcade café and yet given the weather and surrounding buildings with their polychromatic facades and washing lines, laden with garments, they were not out of place. Service was good and personal. #food #dinner
