Richmond Park
This is without doubt the most beautiful of parks in London and still accessible on an underground line. It was once the hunting grounds of Henry VIII and now welcomes strollers, cyclists, birdwatchers and picnickers. Seeing deer here is almost guaranteed and if you are not shy of getting bitten by ticks your time here will be rewarded with spectacular views and endless peace and quiet.
