If the words “experimental theater” make you cringe, I get it. I’ve seen more than a few “experimental” shows that reminded me of that weird dream you have after eating too many jalapeño peppers with your dinner burrito... But do yourself a favor and give La Mama a shot. They’ve been around for almost 60 years for a reason and I’ve caught some real winners here. I’ve yet to make it to their renowned yearly puppet festival but it’s definitely on the short list.
