If you ever meet someone who says they’ve been to Ljubljana and didn’t like it, get away from that deranged soul immediately. They’ve got no heart, no soul and you don’t need anyone with that kind of toxic attitude in your life.. I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love with a city so quickly, totally smitten at first sight. Ljubljana is often described as one of Central Europe’s “jewel box” cities, but not even that does it justice to such beauty. And Slovenia in general is such a tiny place, you can make it to almost ever major site in the country on a day trip. Slovenians are immensely proud of both their nation and its capital city. They genuinely feel that they are living in a very special place and they are right.
