Even people who have never been to NYC before have mostly likely heard about some of our retail heavyweights, Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Bergdorf-Goodman and the like. Lots of folks may also know that you go to Fifth Avenue for high fashion, Canal Street for knock-off bags and perfumes and Times Square for cheap, tacky souvenirs. This list isn’t going to cover any of that. It’s just a true jumble of the low-brow and high-brow, expensive and affordable, expected and unusual and pretty much one-of-a-kind spots that happen to tickle my fancy. Happy shopping!
