Attraction / Stay

Hello! I'm heading to Sydney in about a week but have yet to book any accommodation. I want to find a hostel that's not too much of a party hostel. Have been looking at one in Bondi but will the main sights of the city still be accessible enough for me if I stay there? I'm thinking of inly staying for one week. All tips welcome!
