Is there anywhere to "float a river" or go kayaking around Portland or troutdale? Preferably cheap?!

To be honest, I'm not sure about kayaking in the Troutdale or Portland area. There are State parks along Interstate 84 - along the Washington State side; you may be able to kayak there. You will need a Discover Pass for them. Woodland, Washington is off I-5. You can float or kayak the Lewis River.
It's free to float the Lewis River. Let me know if you go, and I'll tell you where to launch. You will need two cars.
