Capital ale house has a great tap list and good (but not great) pub food. Penny lane pub is a solid English pub. Pasteur is slightly pricier but delicious with a solid drink menu (great cocktails and beer). If you're willing to go slightly further mamma zus in Oregon Hill is a Richmond staple hole in the wall Italian spot. Have fun!

Love Lunch/Supper in Scott's Addition..and that's right near a bunch of great breweries and cideries. Quick uber ride from downtown.
