Shelly Beach
The only beach on the east coast facing west, Shelly's unusual aspect protects it from Sydney's sometimes notorious southerly surf. Part of Cabbage Tree Bay Marine Park, it's protected status has caused an explosion in biodiversity. A real 'aquarium' dive, expect huge schools of yellow tail, wobbegong, blind sharks, fiddler rays, monster flathead, eagle rays, cuttlefish and juvenile dusky sharks during the summer-autumn season. The resident blue gropers follow you like puppy dogs and there's even a 'wreck', an old motorbike that's survived standing upright for who knows how long. #scubadiving #scuba #dive #diving #wildlife #snorkeling #snorkelling #marinepark
