Biblioteca Palafoxiana
I’m a bookworm so the palafoxiana library was absolutely amazing to see! It’s one of the oldest libraries in Mexico, with over 40,000 volumes, many of which are in Latin. Some of the books are more than 500 years old! And the gold altar is an amazing piece of architecture also. Finding the library was a little tricky - it’s on the first floor of the casa de cultura, on the street behind the cathedral. Enjoy the smell of old books and experiencing an amazing piece of history! #history #architecture #free #books #library
