Jara Cimrman Museum
The quirky world of Jara Cimerman is a quizzical room of obfuscated enigmas woven with mysteries and magic. There is nothing this fictious character can't do or know and his range of memorabilia will either astound or bemuse you. Invented by Zdeněk Svěrák in '67 the faceless JC embodies all things great and is perhaps a source of inspiration for the nation to also follow suit. Also known as 'The Master', his presence is reverberated around theatres and play houses across the country, appropriately so, given his omnipresence in innumerable professional fields. Being portrayed as a mathematician, playwrite, poet, sportsman, detective, teacher, philosopher, inventor and much more, you could be coaxed into thinking he was a Czech superhero. It would he advised to acquire some background knowledge beforehand in order to bring the exhibits to life. The displays will still probably leave you a little agog, whilst their primary aim is to amuse and be admired. Tickets to the museum cost 45 Kč (1.50 GBP) and allow you to scale the modern metal viewing tower located in the centre of the museum itself. #art #statue
