Ahh, the pyramids. As a native Egyptian traveler, the triangular monuments are tattooed on my face whenever I tell anyone where I’m from. But, it’s a shame that this dusty area in Giza is all that Greater Cairo is know for in the outside world. I’d so much rather go to one of the spots below on a Saturday Morning than being hit with some sand in my eye and a heat stroke for days. Don’t get me wrong, the pyramids are truly spectacular when you get to see them. But, if the desert isn’t your style, Cairo and Egypt as a whole still have so much more to offer you.
