Austria’s second largest metropolis Graz doesn’t draw tourists the way Vienna and Salzburg do, we had a surprising number of sights largely to ourselves. But this alluring city deserves more attention. It’s highly cultured and intellectually stimulating, yet remains delightfully laid-back. Museums large and small fill Graz and the local museum pass is a fantastic deal. You’ll enjoy great food paired with some superb, sweet local Riesling quite possibly arriving at your table in the hands of lederhosen or dirndl clad servers. Throw in some super friendly locals and elegant architecture and what’s not to love?
